Celebrating Women’s History Month

With a lot happening across the globe it is important to remember the importance of kindness and simply loving one another.  March is when we celebrate Women’s History month.  In light of celebrating the contributions women have made throughout history and the need to spread kindness and love, we have compiled a list of inspirational quotes by women.

Kindness

“Kind words can be short and easy to speak but their echoes are truly endless.” –Mother Teresa

“No kind action ever stops with itself. One kind action leads to another. Good example is followed. A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees. The greatest work that kindness does to others is that it makes them kind themselves.” –Amelia Earhart

“Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.” –Princess Diana

“Practice random kindness and senseless acts of beauty.” —Anne Herbert

“To err on the side of kindness is seldom an error.” —Liz Armbruster

“My wish for you is that you continue. Continue to be who and how you are, to astonish a mean world with your acts of kindness. Continue to allow humor to lighten the burden of your tender heart.” —Maya Angelou

Love

“Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference. They bless the one who receives them, and they bless you, the giver.” —Barbara De Angelis

“We all have neighbors. Greet them on the sidewalk or in the elevator, but try not to peer through their windows. Windows are to look out from, not into.” -Alexandria Stoddard

“Try to be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud.” —Maya Angelou

“Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love.” —Mother Teresa

“Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is a quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses.” —Ann Landers

“The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even heard, but must be felt with the heart.”  — Helen Keller

Be Encouraged

As we kick off the month in celebration of women, it is a good reminder that we must be intentional in finding the things that we can celebrate. Light always shines brightest in darkness and whatever we focus on grows.  May you find and focus on the light during whatever darkness you may be facing!
